These are pictures of the Civilian Reenactors who belong to the 125th NY Regimental Association. In many ways civilian reenacting is more difficult than military reenacting since civilian life is not as documented as the soldier's life was and of course when you go to a battle reenactment much of the activity is built around the soldiers.

However if you are looking for a family activity then reenacting in general may be for you and your family. The civilians camp period style just like the military reenactors do. They also do a lot of different activities such as cooking, domestic chores, portraying US Sanitary Commission Members and nurses.

125th Civilian members are also an intergral part of Living History events and Parades.
